Salad to Sexy! Salad Ideas!



We are 2 days away from our Salad to Sexy Challenge!!!  If you haven't hit your local Farmers Market or Grocery just yet, here are some Salad ideas and recipes!! This should get you thru the first couple of days!

Salads
1. Baby Spinach, green peppers, red peppers and fresh mushrooms
2. Cucumber Salad: Sliced Cucumbers, cherry tomatoes halves, chick peas, onions, vinegar, black pepper and a little EVOO

3. Romaine Lettuce, tomato, sliced carrot, grilled chicken, fresh mushroom
4. Lettuce mix, dried cranberries, walnuts, cucumber.

*you may add avocado and feta cheese in moderation.

Breakfast
1. Blue Berries, strawberries, little vanilla yogurt, honey roasted peanuts
2. Pineapples, cantaloupe, honeydew melon

3. Kiwi, mandarin oranges, red grapes, strawberries
4. Apples, blueberries, strawberries, bananas

2 -3 bunches  coarsely chopped kale, ribs removed, chopped
1 tbsp Tony’s Cajun Seasoning 
1/4 cup Nutritional Yeast
1/3 cup Red onion
1 tbsp Red pepper flakes
1/2 cup Sundried tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
Squeeze a wedge of lemon or lime over the salad
Toss & Enjoy
you can add shredded carrots and cut cucumbers to give it some color and texture

Salad to Sexy Challenge

Challenge Time:  Salad to Sexy
Let’s start the year with a good healthy living & Healthy eating challenge! This summer I saw the idea of a salad challenge on Facebook by Hadiya Barbel, She’s an amazing hair designer check out her Facebook page! I mentioned so some of my girl friends and they wanted to give it a try so here we go!  Of course I’m going to put my Goddess Spin on it!

Our challenge will be to feed our bodies some good fruits and vegetables! This will also act as a mini cleanse and help with belly fat.  We know that fruits and veggies are water based and cleanse our bodies with ease. Remember your appearance is 80% what you eat and 20% exercise. I am happy to say that I am living proof of that! I lost 60lbs slowly over at 6-7 month period just by changing my eating habits and being conscious of what I chose to put into my body. This challenge will be 10 days in length!

Here are the Guidelines:
January 10th – 20, 2013
Salads: traditional salads, Fruit and veggie salads
Avoid heavy or creamy salad dressings choose light dressing like Italian, oil and vinegar, poppy seed, balsamic vinaigrettes.
Cheese and crotons are now welcomed here!
Don’t forget toppings like granola raisins and nuts like almonds, walnuts, pine nuts and sunflowers seeds, but use them in moderation. Nuts can be tricky because the can be heavy in oils.
Remember portion control! Portion control was also part of how I shed my extra pound, I know it’s yummy but if you are full you should stop eating!
You may add lean meats like turkey and chicken for protein. Nothing fried all grilled or baked!
Let’s do water only! Let’s make it fun and have fruit infused water with our salads!

Goddess you Smell Good



Smell like a Goddess all day by placing your fragrance in all the rights places!! Here are some tips for wearing fragrance.

1.  Place your favorite  fragrances where you body emits heat or your pulse points. By doing this your body will warm the fragrance and naturally emit for favorite perfumes and oils. These places will leave your scent as your move throughout the day. 

2.  For everyday apply fragrance to your neck and wrist. 

3.  When applying your scent to the wrist do not touch your wrist together. Simply allow the fragrance to air dry. By doing this you will not "break the fragrance" and your scent will also last longer throughout the day.

4.  In certain settings your scent is an experience so...The cleavage and decolletage, behind the knees, upper inner thigh and ankles a great places for the ultimate Goddess Experience! Of course behind the ears, give someone a special treat as the whisper something sweet in your ear!

5.  Avoid using too much, one or two sprays in each point is plenty, especially if you are using a parfum.

6.  Skip spraying your clothes, you may not want your entire laundry load smelling like your last fragrance choice. You can  mist your scarves, wraps and pashmina for a hint of scent.
